One of the things that makes working with me different is simple: you usually don’t have to disconnect everything, load it into your vehicle, and haul it across town.
I’m Rex Moncrief, the owner of SmarterGeek, and 90% of my work is performed at the customer’s home or business. That allows me to see the computer, network, printer, internet connection, and other equipment in the environment where the problem is actually occurring.
It’s convenient for you—and often makes troubleshooting faster and more accurate.
Equipment Drop-Off and Pickup
Some projects are better handled at my location, including:
- Laptop and desktop computer repairs
- Windows installations and system rebuilds
- SSD and hardware upgrades
- Data transfers and recovery
- Malware and scam remediation
- Backup-drive setup
- Extended diagnostics and testing
Customers may drop off or pick up computers, hard drives, and other equipment by appointment.

SmarterGeek is not a traditional walk-in retail store and does not maintain regular storefront hours.
