I’ve blogged and preached about this over and over and over.
Rule #1: You are only as good as your last successful backup – from which you can recover.
Hard drives fail. It’s a simple fact of technology. The only question is when. Why take the chance?
Backing up with a Mac is as easy as Time Machine or Carbon Copy Cloner. On Windows, you can use Sync Toy – or any number of other tools out there.
Remember that backups are insurance for your data. The computer or phone is NOT the most important thing. It’s the data that we create – and 90% of it is stored on magnetic media now. THAT is the most important thing – the DATA.
